Accountants, CPAs, enrolled agents and bookkeepers are mostly found two ways: referrals and local search. Either way, prospective clients check the website before calling. It doesn't need to be flashy, but it has to look trustworthy, explain exactly what you do, and make booking easy.
What drives the price of an accounting website
- Number of pages. A separate page for each service (individual tax returns, business tax, bookkeeping, payroll, advisory) costs more to build than one services page, but it helps you show up for those specific searches.
- Custom design vs. a template. A custom look with your branding and photos takes more time than a lightly edited template.
- Booking and intake. Appointment booking and a short new-client inquiry form add setup work.
- Integrations. Linking to the client portal, payment link or scheduling tool you already use.
- Bilingual content. In South Florida, many firms serve clients in English and Spanish, which means more pages to write and maintain.

What an accounting firm website should include
- A clear headline saying who you help and where (for example, small businesses and families in Broward County).
- One section or page per core service, written in plain language.
- Credentials and memberships you actually hold, and real photos of your team.
- An easy way to book a consultation or send an inquiry, plus your phone number on every page.
- Tax season information: deadlines, what documents to bring, and how extensions work at your firm.
- A privacy policy, and a secure portal link for documents instead of email attachments or contact forms.
Don't forget Google
For "accountant near me" searches, your Google Business Profile often matters as much as the site. Keep the categories, hours and services accurate and ask satisfied clients for reviews. Our Google Business Profile checklist walks through it.
