Why florists need their own site
Many people order flowers through large marketplaces and wire services. Those can send you orders, but they also take fees, control how your work is shown and often present your arrangements under a generic name. A website of your own lets customers order directly, see your actual work and find your shop on Google and Maps. Peak days like Valentine's Day and Mother's Day make a clear, working site even more valuable.
What a florist's website needs
- Real photos of real arrangements. Show what customers actually receive, in natural light, with clear names and prices.
- Delivery information. Areas served, fees, cutoff times for same-day delivery and what happens if no one is home. Make it easy to find, because it's the first question people have.
- Pickup details. Address, hours and parking.
- Event and wedding inquiries. A separate page with a simple form that asks for date, venue, budget range and style.
- Sympathy and funeral flowers. A sensitive, clear page with delivery details and a phone number, since many people prefer to call.
- Substitution policy. Explain honestly how you handle out-of-stock flowers.
Prepare for peak days
Update hours, cutoffs and capacity before busy holidays, and tell customers when you're sold out for delivery so they can plan. Keep your Google Business Profile in sync; wrong holiday hours cost customers. See our profile checklist for special hours.
Reviews
Customers who receive flowers, and the people who send them, often leave kind reviews if asked. Ask everyone the same way, without incentives, and reply to each. Our guide to getting more Google reviews explains how.
